Lapis Lazuli has been mined for jewelry in Afghanistan for over 6500 years. Pieces have been found in Egyptian burial sites and there is mention of it being used for broaches, pins and rings in the Bible.
Bituminous Agate
This one has some great reds and greens throughout and polishes really nice to high luster. It is a bit hard to cut.
Here is another view of it...nice clear stripe through

the center...a little bit hard to see in this light. This will be one of the first ones that I put up for sale so stay tuned for the pictures.
Black Obsidian
Nice black volcanic glass with red/orange striations though some of it. Fairly hard to cut but polishes up real nice.
In the second picture you can see the glassy
surface a little better.
Tigers Eye
.
Still one of my favorites. Great to cut, polish and drill.
Each piece has it's own characteristics. The thing I really
like about it is the depth of the layers. .
Look closely and you will see the way the layers seem
to be transluscent on the edges.
