Just about every kid I know collects rocks...and I am no exception.
A couple of years ago I discovered that I can actually do something with them that is not only a great hobby, keeps me entertained for hours on end and earns a wee bit of money as well.
My favorite part about lapidary, (other than the rocks), is introducing new people to the hobby for a couple of reasons:
It is a fairly inexpensive hobby to get into
Anyone can do it.
Everyone has access to rocks...lol
If you had ever thought about getting into the hobby, go to your yellow pages and look up your local lapidary club or society. Call them and arrange a visit.
